Lynch Pin Win EBFL Premier Division!!!

2 years ago By Jeff Beck

The Lynch Pin have retained the EBFL Premier Division following their 3-0 win over Iver Heath Rovers yesterday!

Goals from Ollie Jemmett, Matty Andrews & top scorer Henry Wenman secured back to back titles for the Pin, a superb effort in a competitive season.

The Pin had a final day decider after Chalvey Sports had placed their points on the board...a draw was needed to clinch the league following a superb title race.

The 1-1 draw between the two on 28th March showed there was little between the sides but the 15 league goals from Wenman perhaps overshadowed the superb defensive record of the winners, just 19 goals conceded in 20 games.

LynchPin started the season with a loss, newly promoted Magpies stealing a win in their own back-yard, to put the champs on the backfoot. Yet two wins with two clean sheets put the Champs back in the mix, and an unbeaten league run until 15th April - another 1-0 loss to Magpies - including a superb 10-1 win over Laurencians and another draw with Chalvey set the Mob up for a thrilling finale.

Congratulations to Chalvey for helping make the Premier Division the spectacle and showcase competition it should be, but hats off the LynchPin for retaining their title, a superb effort!!!
